What's a Piano Lesson Audit?   A Piano Lesson Audit allows an experienced piano teacher to watch you teach a lesson and offer invaluable feedback.

How does a Piano Lesson Audit work?

1. As soon as you check out, you'll receive a link to fill out a quick form about you, your studio, and your student.  

2. Phoenix will confirm all details with you and provide you with instructions on recording a lesson.

3.  

   You record a lesson (or multiple partial lessons to a max of 20 minutes total footage). 

4. Once Phoenix receives your video recording(s), she will thoughtfully review all footage and return a detailed report to you by email.

What equipment do I need to record a lesson for my audit?  Not much!  No fancy equipment is required. A phone is usually good enough to capture visuals and audio during a lesson. If you have a mic, even better. I suggest running a test recording to make sure speech and piano can be heard and the student's hands on the keys can be seen clearly.

What will my report look like?  You'll receive a detailed report outlining several suggestions on different approaches, method books or resources, activities, educational techniques, or pedagogical methods as relevant. Your report will contain text, images, references, links, and/or video depending on what Phoenix thinks would be most helpful.  

Can I request an audit for a specific student need or issue?  Yes!  If you have a specific outcome in mind, you can let me know in your intake form, and I will take all of your requests and information into account while reviewing your lesson footage.  Each report is unique to the teacher, student, situation, and goal of the audit!

Can I talk to Phoenix live?   While you'll be able to share as much info as you'd like in the form, this product is for email correspondence only.  However, if you prefer to schedule a live video call with Phoenix, you can do so here!
