I wrote this piece Halloween week in 2024. We had a new moon on Halloween night, which was pretty cool! But this short, haunting piece can be enjoyed year-round.
I hesitate to call it an Early Intermediate level piece--let's call it a VERY EARLY Intermediate. The truth is that ambitious Elementary to Late Elementary students can tackle this piece.  Or it could be an easy learn for an Early Intermediate student.
I would suggest this piece for an ambitious (Piano Adventures) Level 2B student, or a Level 3A or Level 3B student. Â
This piece allows students to explore coordinating a syncopated left hand pattern to a right hand melody on the beat.
Left hand reaches no farther than a 5th, while right hand is the one reaching (one-octave arpeggios and beyond) along with two-octave descending scales.
