The Vibe: The stillness and deep thoughts that come up around the Winter Solstice -- the longest night of the year. It's a turning point for the Earth's cycle and for our personal year-cycle.

The Challenge for Students: Level 3 (Piano Adventures) students will enjoy the new age feel and driving middle section of this piece. While the sound motivates, technique-wise they'll be challenged to reach an octave in the left hand (with a dominant in the middle of the octave). They'll also have to shift from a 4/4 feel to a 6/8 middle section and back to 4/4.
